  i found this quote from the 12/15/12 p.29 study edition of the watchtower to be hilarious:.

  i was born into a family already some generations into jehovah's organization.

  from the time i was four years old i can remember my birthday being no more significant than me turning four years old.

  later i saw the significanse of it when my classmates had their birthdays, but i knew it was wrong.

  I grew up as a Jehovahs witness and got told that I was much smarter than most adults, since I knew the truth. I felt blessed in knowing the truth.

  the past two week's worth of wt studies have made a couple points that appear contradictory in nature.

  yesterday was too much, i felt at least.

  either there's another faction within the writing department fighting for the equivalent of airtime in the literature, or they're all so indoctrinated that they fail to see the irony in what they publish.. for instance, take paragraph 5 from last week's lesson.. 5. unlike the law codes of many countries, "the perfect law" is neither complex nor burdensome but consists of simple commandements and principles.

  Wasn't there a stealing problem at Bethel?

  Yep. They put signs up in all locker rooms to NOT store any valuables there in plain sight. And things still got stolen. If Bethel was full of people who dedicated themselves to and love Jehovah, why are there any locks on any doors WITHIN Bethel? Do they not trust their own brothers?

  GB are the exception to the rules.

  JW's ignore those scriptures, and instead point to Matthew 23:45-47 to be the end-all argument.

  i grew up romping around the kingdom farm (in landing ny) with maxwell friend pinching my cheeks and bert schroeder scolding me for throwing orchard apples outside the kf library.

  cos and missionaries often crashed at our house in ithaca, ny.

  Psychoanalyzing the Governing Body as a Collective Body by what they cause to be written in literature and private letters:

  now would any "psychologist" on the board and i use the term loosely as i am not one professionally , and have a very rudimentary hazy knowledge of analysis.. but one of the things jung had to do with the subject is the shadow to be properly analyzed one needs to recognize the shadow we all have we all have one.

  and what happens when we repress a lot of things and stuff them into ones personal shadow, they get stronger and cause projection on the outside world that make one respond certain ways that might be termed as phobias or neurosis and even psychosis.. im sure we can spot a lot of denial and repression surfacing in what they cause to be published either publicly and in private correspondence.

  perhaps even some phobias or out right neurosis.. i bett you a really skilled psychologist could have a fruit picking holiday with the stuff they find on the net already published far and wide for all to see.

  13 In the world, there is a tendency to reject leadership. As one lecturer said: “The rising education level has improved the talent pool such that followers have become so critical that they are almost impossible to lead.” But a spirit of independent thinking does not prevail in God’s organization, and we have sound reasons for confidence in the men taking the lead among us. For instance, only those meeting Scriptural requirements are appointed as elders. (1 Timothy 3:1-7) They are trained to be kind, loving, and helpful, yet firm in upholding Jehovah’s righteous standards. The elders adhere to Scriptural truth, ‘holding firmly to the faithful word, that they may be able to exhort by healthful teaching.’ (Titus 1:5-9) Of course, we should not magnify their human imperfections, for all of us are imperfect. (1 Kings 8:46; Romans 5:12) Instead of feeling frustrated by their limitations and treating their counsel lightly, let us appreciate and accept the Bible-based direction of the elders as coming from God .
